As some people have already seen, Horiyoshi The Third Clothing and Accessories has been making some news of late. The line was featured on men.style.com along with some photos of the clothes. Some of the images of the line were taken out in Japan, but a few others were taken this April in an official photo shoot in LA California. But this wasn’t just your regular photo shoot where we wanted to showcase the line, we wanted to showcase the Japanese tattoo culture as much as possible. Once that was decided, we thought the most natural way to show this would be through some Horiyoshi III’s actual work – on real people. The result was an amazing weekend where Japanese models were flown in to model the clothes, the master’s art and help launch the line. April 24th and 25th were a couple of historic days for Horiyoshi The Third Clothing and Accessories. For many, this was the official North American unveiling of Horiyoshi’s latest endeavor – a high quality, modern style men’s clothing line. But keeping with the theme of the entire trip to LA for the Horiyoshi Brand, we made sure to show people more than the line, we wanted to show them the attitude, the lifestyle and what it means to dawn anything with the name Horiyoshi III attached. The entire trip consisted of some extremely memorable photo shoots and capped off with a critically acclaimed art exhibit put on by Canvas LA.

The show at Canvas LA was more than simply the unveiling of the new clothing line – it was a celebration of the Master’s work and how it had effected people from across the globe. Not only was Canvas LA showcasing some of Horiyoshi III’s publications and prints, but Horiyoshi The Third Clothing and Accessories brought live tattoo models from Japan to show the people at the exhibit some of the Master’s tattoo work from over the years. The response was overwhelming as Canvas LA was packed from wall to wall. People were celebrating the brilliant work of Horiyoshi III, saw and interacted with some of his masterpieces and even got a treat as Horiyoshi III himself sent a personalized video message thanking everyone who attended.

Success would be an understatement as Horiyoshi The Third Clothing and Accessories arrived in a big way.
